Confident Youth

The transition from childhood to adulthood is complicated and confusing.  For LGBTQ youth, it's trickier.  PFLAG has long offered programs that help LGBTQ youth become proud and productive adults.


Practical experience is an vital part of a student's education.  PFLAG Portland partners with institutions in the area to provide work experience in serving the LGBTQ community.  Partner or prospective intern, contact us for further information.

Mini Grants

Since 2010 this popular program has funded small projects sponsored by Gay/Straight Alliances or other nonprofit youth oriented organizations – projects that would otherwise go unfunded in this era of scarce budgets. Learn more.

yOUTh OUT Arts Open Studio

Through the East County chapter's yOUTh OUT Arts program, a partnership of our East County chapter with the Regional Arts and Culture Council and Springwater Studio, LGBTQ youth ages 12-18 can express themselves through Art weekly in a supportive and safe environment.
