If you're on your journey
towards being yourself
or want to help others on theirs

Welcome to our PFLAG family.

As LGBTQ Americans age, finding senior housing can be a challenge.
There are as many names for Two-Spirit people as there are Native American tribes, as this interactive map shows.
Back for a 6th year, this popular program funds small projects sponsored by Gay/Straight Alliances or other nonprofit, youth oriented organizations.

building an inclusive and compassionate world.

We do more than sit in circles.

Through peer-to-peer support, educating people on the issues, and advocating for inclusive policies and laws, we keep Portland's LGBTQ folks, families, and friends strong.

PFLAG started with a group of loving parents in a living room, sharing their stories, keeping their families strong. On-line or in-person, the power of that safe space is still at the heart of all that we do.

Knowledge is power. Through the lens of our personal experience, we share the best research - on line and in person, through publications, presentations, and organizational training.

Our GSA mini-grants, student internships, and Youth Art drop-in programs help LGBTQ youth become proud and confident adults.

Love Isn’t a Choice

Love isn’t a choice. You fall for the person, not their chromosomes.

Amazing How

Amazing how eye and skin color come in many shades yet many think sexuality is just gay or straight.

DaShanne Stokes

its a really bad idea

It's a really bad idea to set out to change another person.
Instead, set out to love them, and they will become whatever they are supposed to become.
